Ives’s ‘Three Places’ and ‘Symphony No. 3’ were recorded on May 5, 1957, on 3-track half-inch tape using one 201 and two M56 Telefunken microphones. The works were originally released as [url=https://www.discogs.com/Charles-Ives-Howard-Hanson-Eastman-Rochester-Orchestra-Three-Places-In-New-England-Symphony-No3/release/8755473]SR90149[/url]. Schuman’s ‘New England Triptych’ was recorded on May 5, 1963; Mennin’s ‘Symphony No. 5’, on May 7, 1962.
