Notes:
At the time of the album being recorded, Arthur was playing with a band named “Arthur O’Brien And The Fat Catlicks”, whom were the core of the album for backing instrumentals and vocals. Aside from Arthur, the band consisted of Bryon Pardy, Paul “Boomer” Stamp, and, Bill Sutton.
Arthur played guitar and was the lead vocalist, Bryon played bass guitar and was a backing vocalist, Paul played drums and was a backing vocalist, and, Bill Sutton played tenor banjo, mandola, bouzouki, as well as being a backing vocalist.
They were also joined by guest musicians John Bishop (tin whistle/flute/low whistle), Eamonn O’Rourke (fiddle), Paul Hiscock (guitar), Glenn Hiscock (bouzouki), Cory Tetford (electric guitar/backing vocals), Francesca Swann (cello), Paul Kinsman (piano), and, Jason Whelan (guitar) on this album.
The verses of “Paddy When You Die” were written by Jamie Snider of The Wonderful Grand Band, while the chorus and melody are both traditional.
