The organ has, quite rightly, been described as “The King of Instruments” • Thanks to my great grandfather, the 8th Duke, we have one of the finest organs in the world here in the Long Library of Blenheim Palace. My kinsman, Sir Winston Churchill often heard this magnificent instrument – and loved it. Now, you too can hear it in a new recording of music with a distinct English Flavour played by the American virtuoso, Mr. Carlo Curley. When you have listened to this recording, I am sure you will share my view that Carlo Curley’s huge talent so impressively demonstrates the range and power of this magnificent instrument for which I have such deep affection. That feeling is also expressed by many of our visitors, who come to Blenheim each year from all over the world.
